Hi guys! Today, I’ll be posting the second part of photos from my trip to Luxembourg last summer. Me and my mother drove several hours to the village of Born, where we would be staying at night, after which we explored the eastern part of Luxembourg for a few days, hiking mostly within the canton of Echternach.

This photo was taken just outside of the village of Born, barely up the hills into the woods. It was clear that this was quite a conventional trail and we passed several fellow hikers. It’s nothing extremely interesting, but I especially liked how the sunlight accentuates the moss growth in the bottom-left hand corner.

The view from the little bungalow/apartment thingie we were staying at in the village of Born. There was a road running in between these rows of trees, but you almost couldn’t see it in daylight. Can you spot the street lantern poking through the trees?

An open spot filled with young trees.

The moss growth on the boulder reassured me that it had been sitting there for a while, so it wouldn’t fall down and crush me. Just kidding, it’s not as big as it appears to be on this photo.

These linear erosion patterns on the rocks tell me there used to be something like a lake here or some type of water-related erosion that occured many, many years ago. Speaks to the imagination doesn’t it?

  1. Hi there – got a technical question for you, actually. I found your site because it was listed on the theme’s website as an example of the “Untitled” theme. I like what you did with the photo at the top a lot, but I can’t seem to figure it out. Is that a background image? Or did you include it in the header? (The trees on the hillside.) I can’t figure out how to make the text and posts start halfway down the page like you have and I’m dying to figure it out.

Thanks for any advice you can give. Love your photos, by the way.

    1. Hi! Thanks. It’s actually a front page sider, which is a feature of the “Untitled” theme. Here’s exactly what you need to do:

To set up Untitled’s Front Page Slider:

      Navigate to Settings → Reading.
Scroll down to the section labeled “Featured Content”.
Enter the name of a tag.
Click the blue “Save Changes” button at the bottom.
Create a post with a featured image that’s at least 1024px wide.
Note: The featured image will look best at these dimensions: 1440px wide, 400px tall.
Give the post the tag you declared under Settings → Reading → Featured Content.

It’s listed on the same page where you found my blog 😉 (http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/untitled/).
      I hope this helped!

      1. Oh, nice! Never in a million years would I have ever figured that out, but it worked so thanks!

Do you know if it’s possible to do the same with a page, or only on posts?
